I have never dined in at the Country Kitchen. My only experience is calling in my go to breakfast: Country Fried Steak with sausage gravy, 2 over easy eggs, home fries, rye toast. The country fried steak is the best I have ever eaten. A good size portion. The eggs and home fries are cooked to perfection. You get so much food for just over five dollars. I make sure to leave a good tip when I pick up my order to show appreciation for the great service I receive from the staff.

Country kitchen is one of those classic American small town spots. It serves simple but good food at a great price.

Some highlights on their menu are the slop and the hamburgers, but you also can't go wrong with a BLT or any of the other breakfast items. The tea here is SWEET.

Sometimes the service can seem to suffer if you aren't a regular. In actuality, there isn't anything wrong with the service, you just feel left out by how familiar the waitresses are with those that come in often. They do tend to take care of them more, but they won't leave you hanging.

I have been here dozens of times and very rarely am I disappointed. The food and service are great and there are few places you can find a better deal.

My first time in Gainesville, FL with my boyfriend and his father and Country Kitchen was their first recommendation for the best American breakfast in Newberry. With good reason!

Country Kitchen is a quaint and humble little hole-in-the- wall establishment. It's definitely family friendly and feels a lot like it's run by a Mom and Pop that just want to serve you up some country fried deliciousness.

All three of us ordered Tony's Slop for breakfast. A generous portion of hash browns smothered in cheddar cheese, chopped ham and a side of two eggs sunny side up. Simple and satisfying, the way breakfast was meant to be.

To drink I ordered a cup of coffee, which I never really do because I'm from Miami and addicted to abuela's cafecito, but this coffee was surprisingly good. Only needed about two spoons of sugar and one cream, which was perfect for washing down the salty cheesy deliciousness.

I highly recommend this place to anyone passing through Newberry. Make sure to look for it because if you sneeze, you'll definitely miss it.
